Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does. – William James
I love this quote every time I see it.
Sometimes, as a writer, it can be easy to spend too much time in our bubbles. For me, as a life coach, energy worker, and writer, it’s even easier to feel detached from others because I need to be, by necessity.
This means that I can also fall victim to the very common question,
“What’s the point?”
Writers don’t often hear from readers about how impactful their words have been. I know that each time someone shares their appreciation with me for something I’ve written, I feel like I just won something.
Having a small but profound reminder in the form of this quote can really make a difference in my day, and in my writing.
