Taylor Thomas
Taylor Thomas is a speech language pathologist and feeding specialist. Her interest in pediatric feeding and swallowing therapy began during her graduate school internship at Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital’s interdisciplinary intensive feeding and swallowing program. This experience sparked her passion for working with children with a variety of feeding and swallowing disorders, and has prompted her to focus her career on helping children fulfill their potential for health, nutrition, and functional sensory-motor feeding skills, as well as helping families make feedings fun and pleasurable.
Taylor and her business partner, Andrea Scida, launched the first intensive feeding program in south Florida, and in 2020, they created Miko—a young monkey who struggles with his own feeding and swallowing disorders. Both a working prototype and a series of children’s books are underway, starting with Miko Learns to Chew.
