Julio A. Omaña
Since 1992, Julio Omaña has taught all levels of Spanish at Canterbury School. In addition to teaching, Julio coaches soccer and softball and runs the school’s international travel programs. Beyond teaching Spanish, Julio is a talented translator whose focus is on converting English texts to Spanish. Originally from Venezuela, Julio earned a Master’s degree from Middlebury College’s Language School.
When not in the classroom, on the athletic field, or traveling with students, Julio likes to run (Brooks Adrenalines are his go-to shoe!), be outdoors (hiking!), and walk his dogs, Paco and Daisy. Julio lives in Connecticut with his spouse, Amy, and their two dogs. They also have two adult children who are making their way in life.
